ESSIAC TEA (CEA Levels Back Up To 25)Views: 210

Hello All!

Last week my mom was suppose to start her second cycle of FOLFOX, but again her white blood cell count was too low, so it has been put off for another week. As a routine, my mom meets with her oncologist, Dr. Rebecca Barrington, once a month and last Monday was her monthly appointment. As this blog title indicates, we received the news that her CEA levels had increased to 25 from a low of 15 in January. Dr. Barrington just suggested that she be a little bit more dilligent in taking the ESSIAC tea at night as it does have some effect on these markers (and presumably her chance at eventual recovery).

I was very surprised to hear the doctor recommend the ESSIAC tea as the ingredients seem a bit innocuous to me (Burdock Root, Sheep Sorrel, Slippery Elm, and Indian Rhubarb Root). We are currently purchasing our tea from Whole Foods Market in a liquid concentrate for around $41 which is about a 1 month supply. The book my grandmother found the tea remedy in “Miracle Cures from the Bible” suggests that you make this tea by hand but I wasn’t able to find an herb store that carried all four herbs and based on the results my mom experienced early in her treatment (when she was faithfully taking the tea each evening), I think that the pre made tea concentrate works well.

I would love to hear from someone else about their experience with this tea.
