Mom had her last chemotherapy treatment today!
Well, actually just the last dose of chemo before surgery but it is still really exciting. There will be a little more chemo after the surgery. She is doing really well and is glad to have this portion of treatment come to an end. The effects last a couple weeks but then she should be feeling a little better. The neuropathy symptoms seem to be a little worse each time.
We meet with the doctor on April 9th to discuss and schedule the surgery. We are hoping it is sooner than later so she can start the healing process. I am going to San Antonio this weekend so I can take her to her appointment on April 2nd for a CT scan. This scan will show us how much the tumor has shrunk and will also take another look at the spots on the liver to see how well everything responded to the chemo.
I’ll make sure to post another blog when we get the results of the CT scan and know the surgery date!
