Week off of chemo, low blood cells......ROAD TRIP!!!Views: 145

Mom’s white bloodcell count was too low to receive chemo this week. She’s taking advantage of the break to get away from the cold weather in Colorado and is travelling to Texas. She hasn’t been to her own house in months and is travelling with her husband Jay (who she hadn’t seen for 2 months!) so she couldn’t be happier.

Her CEA levels are down to 49 and we have 2 more treatments of the Folfuri/Avastin combo until the next PetScan. Hopefully this time off won’t affect her progress but I can tell that she really needed a week off from treatment, to get out of Colorado and spend some time with Jay. You have to enjoy life a little too!

I can’t wait for her to get here! There’s a new exhibit at the Natural History Museum in Houston so if she is feeling up to it, then we will hit the museum and Butterfly Pavilion. She is eating really well right now so I stocked up on groceries so we can do some baking and cooking over the weekend.
